Energy optimization system improving efficiency and reducing operational costs for facilities

The Statewide Water Infrastructure and System Efficiency™ (SW WISE™) Program,
which is a Third-Party Energy Efficiency Program , is kicking off 2024 with some exciting
changes.

Qualifying projects include Water Pump Upgrades, and VFDs with pump replacement, and
rebates have been extended through the end of 2024.

Pump Replacement Projects Qualifying Criteria can be referenced (view here) by measure.

Pump Replacement Projects: It is recommended to submit batches of projects to maximize rebate checks. The table below shows how the rebates work. For example, if a 25 HP constant speed pump with a PEI of less than 0.88 is installed, it would take about 15 pumps to receive a rebate check of $10,000. However, projects can also be submitted one at a time as they are identified.

1Rebates for pumps ≤15 HP are limited and will be available on a first come, first served basis.

VFD on Irrigation New Pump Projects Qualifying Criteria can be referenced (view here) by measure.

VFD on Irrigation New Pump Projects: It is recommended to submit batches of projects to maximize rebate checks. The table below shows how the rebates work. For example, if a 50 HP Booster pump is installed with VFD, it would take about 6 pumps with VFDs to receive a rebate check of $10,000. However, projects can also be submitted one at a time as they are identified.

Pipe and Fitting Insulation Projects Qualifying Criteria can be referenced (view here) by measure.

Pipe and Fitting Insulation Projects: It is recommended to submit batches of projects to maximize rebate checks. For example, according to the table below, for pipe insulation projects, 3,333 ft of insulation leads to a rebate check of approximately $10,000. However, projects can also be submitted one at a time as they are identified.

The rebates offered for pipe and fitting insulation projects are listed in the table below:

Tank Insulation Projects Qualifying Criteria can be referenced (view here) by measure.

Tank Insulation Projects: It is recommended to submit batches of projects to maximize rebate checks. For example, according to the table below, for tank insulation projects of 1-inch thickness, 1,111 Sq. Ft of insulation leads to a rebate check of approximately $10,000. However, projects can also be submitted one at a time as they are identified.

The rebates offered for tank insulation projects are listed in the table below:

The program is available in Southern California Edison Company (SCE®), Pacific Gas and Electric Company (PG&E®), Southern California Gas Company (SoCalGas®), and San Diego Gas & Electric Company (SDG&E®) service areas. SCE, on behalf of itself, PG&E, SoCalGas, and SDG&E, has contracted with Lincus Inc. (Lincus®) to design and implement an energy efficiency program and to deliver the resulting energy and demand savings to SCE. Lincus’ program is a statewide program for qualifying Water/Wastewater Pumping customers. Customers receive services and/or compensation directly, or indirectly, from Lincus based on individual agreements between the customer and Lincus or Lincus’ subcontractors (Customer Implementer Agreement). SCE is not a party to, or a guarantor of, the Customer Implementer Agreement. SCE has no contractual obligation, directly or indirectly, to the customer.
