PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
PROJECT IMPLEMENTATION
Lincus’ experienced consultants have closed a significant gap in the SmartGrid marketplace by providing knowledgeable consultation with industry suppliers to evaluate their product and service offerings in the context of the internal structures that utilities use to execute their business strategies (e.g, How do the suppliers develop and optimize their solutions to fit within the utility infrastructure?). Our SmartGrid work for utility customers focuses on strategic implementation of specific technologies including Advanced Metering Infrastructure (AMI), Distribution Automation (DA), Outage Management Systems (OMS), and more
sophisticated strategies including voltage control, renewables integration, and micro grids.
For the past five years, Lincus’ team of SmartGrid professionals have evaluated a broad
range of AMI suppliers and provided project implementation over site for various utilities.
The purpose of these reviews was to provide an assessment of how well each supplier can:
1) Fit into the utility’s existing infrastructure and meet its strategic requirements.
2) Provide for a competitive expansion capability to their existing systems.
The systems we use include:
- Itron OpenWay
- Landis+Gyr GridStream AMI
- Sensus FlexNet
- Silver Springs Networks
- GE GridIQ P2MP

We also offer utility support for development of RFI and RFP documents as required.
Lincus’ project implementation oversight includes support for the utility’s implementation
team, confirmation of the supplier’s adherence to the project specification, and technical
vendor liaison to insure multiple vendor systems integrate successfully with one-another.
