New Construction/Design Review

One of Lincus’ principal services is using simulation modeling such as DOE2 in real-world design and construction applications.

We have performed simulation-based design assistance, energy analyses, and audits on many facilities across the United States. The majority of our modeling work has involved the U.S. Department of Energy's DOE2, Equest, EnergyPro programs or other advanced building energy performance modeling codes such as Trane Corporation’s TRACE program.

Lincus' building modeling experience includes working with national clients representing diverse facility types and an extensive background in custom modeling of advanced "non-standard" building energy technologies.

Part of Lincus’ success with performance modeling comes from the successful management of actual retrofit projects that involve energy-efficient technologies often modeled. In many cases, monitoring equipment is set up to validate performance after installation, providing further feedback on the effectiveness of these state-of-the-art technologies.

Lincus provides technical assessment, life cycle costing, and incremental cost analysis for your project. Additionally, Lincus will demonstrate compliance with energy standards such as ASHRAE 90.1 or, for buildings in California, Title 24. Lincus provides new construction design assistance, energy-efficiency, and demand-side management solutions.

Based on Lincus’ simulation model and the economic feasibility analysis, our clients are equipped to decide to replace or repair their existing mechanical system infrastructure.
